Finding the Snow: Katie's Story

In April 2021, Katie walked into our first session. She wasn’t just carrying extra weight—she was carrying the weight of her world.

She told me she felt like she couldn’t walk upright, couldn’t look people in the eye, and couldn’t find herself anymore. A difficult situation at home had crushed her spirit. She felt invisible.

Her challenges felt overwhelming:

Her family’s demands made it impossible to focus on herself.

She felt lost in the world of training and nutrition, unsure of where to even start.

Time was her biggest enemy, and there was never enough of it to go around.

The fear of judgment or injury in the gym loomed over her like a dark cloud.

Katie’s story is not unique, but what came next is what makes it extraordinary.

The Question That Changed Everything

I remember asking her a simple but powerful question:

“If all hope is lost, why are you here? Why not just give up?”

Her answer was raw and honest:

“Because I don’t want to feel this way anymore.”

And that was it. That was the spark we needed. When someone truly decides that they’re done feeling stuck, nothing will stop them.

A Journey Full of Setbacks and Wins

Katie didn’t come to me expecting a miracle, and she didn’t get one. What she got instead was a process—a journey where we would take one step at a time.

I told her something that would become a mantra for us:

“Look at the goddamn snow.”

This analogy comes from skiing. A skier enjoying their downhill run doesn’t focus on the trees—they focus on the snow ahead. The moment they fixate on the trees, fear and stress take over. But when they stay focused on the path, the journey becomes exhilarating.

Katie started applying this mindset to everything.

Instead of avoiding unhealthy foods, she explored ways to make healthy foods taste better.

Instead of seeing her kids as obstacles, she found ways to include them in her journey.

Instead of worrying about looking stupid or hurting herself in the gym, she focused on showing up and making small improvements.

We weren’t aiming for perfection. We were aiming for progress.

The Results of Relentless Focus

The results weren’t instant, and the journey wasn’t smooth. But slowly, Katie transformed her life:

She lost 50 kilograms.
She fell in love with training.
She stopped avoiding eye contact and started valuing herself.
She wore what she wanted and felt comfortable in her own skin.
She went from feeling invisible to feeling like a somebody.
The stares she once dreaded turned into moments of pride. Her confidence was no longer hidden—it was radiant.

What You Can Learn From Katie

Katie’s story might sound distant or even impossible for some. But the truth is, her journey started with a single decision and the willingness to take small, consistent steps.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, here’s my advice:

Stop looking at the mountain to climb. Instead, focus on the very next step.

Find your snow. Focus on what’s ahead, not the obstacles around you.
Ask for help. If you don’t know where to start, find someone who can guide you.

Katie didn’t just transform her own life—she decided to help others do the same. Today, she’s using her journey to inspire and empower others, and she’s making over £35,000 a year doing it.

Your Next Step

If Katie can do it, so can you. It won’t happen overnight, and it won’t happen without effort. But every step forward brings you closer to the life you want.

Remember: Look at the snow. Take the next step. Keep moving.

If you’re ready to start your journey or need help finding your path, I’d love to hear from you. Your transformation is waiting.

Katie’s story is proof that it’s not about perfection—it’s about progress. So take that first step, and let’s see where the journey takes you.
